Kris has followed the sport of Bodybuilding for the
past 16 years and has been actively involved within the
industry for the past 8 years. In 1997 he successfully
completed a 3 year full time course gaining his
International Health and Sports Therapy qualifications.
These qualifications include: Weight training and
Exercise Instructor examiner, Diet and Nutrition

tissue, Sports and Aromatherapy Massage. Kris started a
personal training business working within several
fitness centers in his home country of Wales, UK. A year
later he had the opportunity to work as a Personal
Trainer and Massage therapist on-board 5 star cruise
liners traveling the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico and the
east coast of the USA. In the year 2000 Kris moved to
Sydney Australia where he built a successful mobile
personal training business for two years. During this
time Kris had started to write and shoot pictures for a
“hard core” British publication called Muscle News on a
regular basis covering athlete profiles/interviews and
contest coverage. Two years later he opened a fitness
center called Future Physique. There he personal trained
hundreds of clients specializing in 12 week
transformation. Several clients results were so
impressive that they won the world recognized “Body for
Life Challenge”. Also during this time Kris was writing
and shooting for the BEEF magazine (UK), Body Fitness
(Europe and Australasia), Muscle & Fitness and FLEX
(Australia). In regards to bodybuilding competition,
Kris was a bodybuilding judge for three years and
competed in four natural bodybuilding shows finishing
second in all and unbelievably missing first place by
one point in all also. In 2005 Kris moved to the Mecca
of bodybuilding – Venice Beach in California. Here Kris
secured a writers and photographers contract with the
Weider International. Just recently, Kris launched his
own publication, Kaged Muscle. We met Kris at the 2006
FAME Worlds Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships in
Toronto, where we photographed him on the streets of
Toronto. Kris competed at a weight of 184 lbs., and he
nearly won the show, winding up in the runner-up
position. We did a follow-up photoshoot with Kris later
that year in, where else, Venice Beach, his new home. We
are very pleased to add Kris Gethin to our roster of top
